Check the payment status before retrying

Look at the merchant order page and your bank or wallet transaction history. A slow confirmation can appear as a failure on one screen while the payment remains pending elsewhere.

Record the essentials

  • Merchant name
  • Order or booking number
  • Amount
  • Date, time, and timezone
  • Transaction reference
  • Status shown by the merchant
  • Status shown by the payment provider

Do not share verification codes

Legitimate support should not need your password, PIN, one-time password, complete card number, or remote access to your device to investigate a payment reference.

Contact the merchant first when an order is involved

Ask whether the order exists and whether payment was received. Provide the safe transaction reference and screenshot after removing unrelated financial information.

Contact the payment provider through an official channel

If the merchant cannot locate the payment, use the bank, card, wallet, or payment application’s official support route. Keep the ticket number and stated resolution timeline.

Escalate with a complete record

If the issue is not resolved within the provider’s stated period, reply on the same ticket with the timeline and evidence. Use the provider’s formal grievance or dispute path where appropriate.
